Detailed Engineering
1. Civil Engineering
Design of structures and civil works. Detailed plans and technical specifications, structural studies, field information surveys, soil studies, analysis of the terrain’s complexity, definition of pipeline routes, topographic plans, etc., are prepared.
2. Process Engineering
Process flow diagrams and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID) are developed. Mass and energy balances are performed, equipment is specified, and simulations are used to verify operating parameters. A process safety analysis is conducted to identify and mitigate risks.
3. Mechanical Engineering
Design and selection of mechanical equipment such as pumps, compressors, and heat exchangers. Detailed calculations of piping systems and stress and vibration analysis are performed. Fabrication and assembly drawings, material specifications, and operation and maintenance manuals are prepared.
4. Electrical Engineering
Detailed design of electrical systems, from power distribution to lighting and grounding systems. Electrical schematics are developed, equipment such as transformers and motors is specified, and electrical load calculations are performed to ensure a reliable power supply.
5. Instrumentation Engineering
Measurement and control instruments for the process, such as sensors and valves, are selected and specified. P&IDs are developed and updated to reflect the instrumentation, the control system architecture is designed, and PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems are configured and programmed. Additionally, cable and connection systems are designed, and procedures for testing and calibrating the instruments are prepared.
